Joliet is a fast-growing city in the northern part of Illinois that is roughly 40 miles to the southwest of Chicago.  It is located in both Will County and Kendall County.

Neighboring cities include Mokena, New Lenox, Lockport, and Plainfield.

Because of Joliet’s population, as well as various attractions and roadways, traffic both in and through Joliet is substantial.

A variety of major expressways and routes are in or run through Joliet.  These include Interstate 55 (I-55) and Interstate 80 (I-80); Illinois Route 53 and Illinois Route 59; and Illinois Route 7.

Major streets in Joliet are numerous, and include Black Road, Ingalls Avenue, Theodore Street, N. Midland Avenue, S. Midland Avenue, S. Center Street, Collins Street, North Chicago Street, and South Chicago Street.
